The peaceful park is situated in Hordle, semi-rural village and like many New Forest parishes.

A predominantly rural Parish outside the National Park lying within swathes of Green-Belt land devoted mainly to agricultural or horticultural use and also containing significant woodland areas. The village is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the park, or you can opt for local transport as there is a bus stop outside the park, offering regular services. A small number of shops are situated in Hordle, however you are not far from New Milton.

New Milton has a mainline station, making it suitable for the day out in London with a journey time of less than two hours to Waterloo. Bournemouth is about 16 minutes by train and Southampton between 20-30 minutes.

There are many leisure and pleasures near Hordle, New Forest National Park, Palace House Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard Village and the New Forest Wildlife Park to name a few. New Forest National Park and its special qualities

Woodlands Park is only a 10-minute drive north to the famous New Forest National Park.

Best known for its heathland, forest trails and native ponies, New Forest National Park covers parts of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.

The New Forest became a national park in 2005 and was once a royal hunting ground for William the Conqueror. It covers an area of 566 square kilometres and is made up of vast tracts of unspoilt woodland, heathland and river valleys. Today deer, ponies and cattle continue to roam free in its ancient heaths and woodland. Clear rivers and shady groves provide tranquillity and a car-free haven for walking, cycling and horse riding.
